SINCE 1946
SINCE 1946
The Harbord Bowling Club is committed to supporting the local community. We have a long history since 1946 supporting local teams, clubs, charities and events such as the Harbord Bowling Club Cricket Club, Surf Club Days, fundraisers and Bear Cottage.
As we support the local community, so too does our community support the club.
We humbly thank all our sponsors for their continued support whose generous contributions enable us to manage and maintain the greens and clubhouse for the enjoyment of our local community and visitors.
Sub-clubs enrich the lives of participants by offering more than just a sport or hobby; they provide valuable social interactions and opportunities for personal growth. They foster friendships and bring lifelong enjoyment, making a lasting impact on our lives.
Welcome to the Harbord Bowling Club Cricket Club (HBCCC), affectionately known as HB triple C. Established in the 1989/1990 season, HBCCC celebrates nearly 35 years of association with the Harbord Bowling Club. Over this time, HBCCC has earned a reputation as the most successful club in the Manly Warringah Cricket Association.
HB triple CCC embraces cricketers of all skill levels across various grades, fostering a unified club spirit rather than focusing solely on individual teams. Our club is committed to inclusivity, offering opportunities for every cricketer to enjoy their time and build lasting friendships.
Beyond the pitch, we take pride in our vibrant social calendar, featuring numerous events throughout the season that strengthen family and community bonds. Our Ladies Day, Old Boys Reunion and Presentation Nights among the annual highlights. The post-game pizza and drink, awarded to each player of the match, a more routine group gathering, celebrating the commendable efforts of the round.
Join HBCCC today and be part of a legacy built on camaraderie, sportsmanship, and excellence in cricket.

Founded in 1998, the Harbord Bowling Club Fishing Club, known as the “Harbord Fish Bowl,” has been bringing together fishing enthusiasts from across the peninsula for over two decades. Our club hosts a monthly fishing competition, typically held on the last weekend of each month. The weigh-in takes place at 3:30 pm on the last Sunday of the month at the “Bowlo,” drawing fishermen eager to claim our coveted awards.
Even if the fish weren’t biting, all members who attend the weigh-in can enjoy a complimentary BBQ, creating a welcoming and social atmosphere. Our annual trophy presentation is held in early December at the Harbord Bowling Club, where we celebrate the year’s achievements with food, refreshments, and plenty of fishing gear raffles. With enough prizes for most members, everyone has a chance to walk away with something.
In addition to our monthly events, the club organizes an annual fishing weekend at Greenwell Point—a perfect opportunity to relax, meet fellow anglers, and enjoy some great fishing. We also engage in friendly inter-club challenges with other local fishing clubs, including Narrabeen Sands and Warringah Anglers.
For those who enjoy both fishing and bowling, the Fishing Club participates in the Harbord Bowling Club’s annual intra-club bowling competition, making it an ideal community for Fish and Bowl enthusiasts.
Interested in joining? Membership forms are available on the club’s notice board or can be requested via email. Completed forms can be emailed back or handed to Rod Oliver, Doug McLennan, or Bill Martin at any weigh-in or when you see them at the club.
We look forward to seeing you at our next weigh-in!

The Frogs began in 1963 as an auxiliary of the Harbord Diggers Swimming Club, sponsored by the Harbord Diggers. Starting with 11 original swimmers from the Diggers Club, the Frogs quickly expanded with members from nearby surf clubs like Manly, North Steyne, Queenscliff, and Freshwater.
In the early 1980s, we relocated to the South Curl Curl rock-pool, where we currently meet every Sunday morning at 10:00 am (9:30 am for reporting). Our season runs from the first Sunday after Easter to the last Sunday in September.
Our membership typically ranges from 100 to 120 swimmers. Over the years, our swimmers have included former Olympians, Australian representatives in swimming and surf sports, as well as rugby union and league players who have excelled at state and national levels.
Since formal records began in 1976, the club has achieved the overall points score victory at the Australian Winter Swimming Championships 16 times!
We welcome new swimmers of all abilities. Swimming through winter is not only a great way to stay fit and socially active, but also a great way to boost circulation, the immune system and resilience!
