Step onto the green and feel the freedom under your feet with barefoot bowls! Perfect for all ages and skill levels, this relaxed and fun twist on the classic game is ideal for everyone. Kick off your shoes, grab your friends and a bevvy, and roll your way to time filled with laughter and friendly competition. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-timer, barefoot bowls offers a unique and refreshing take on a beloved pastime. Join us for an unforgettable experience.
Play for 2 hours for just $15 per adult (Member), $20 (Non-Member) or $10 per child, which includes your rink hire, bowls and all the equipment you need.
Our friendly staff will brief you on how to bowl and get you started. If you’re competitive and love a challenge, we’ll give you scorecards! It’s so much fun!
Each rink can accommodate 8 people and you can play a game of bowls with 2 people or up to 100 people.
Our picnic tables are perfectly placed to overlook the greens, making them the ideal spot to savour an antipasto grazing board, shared plate, or dig into a delicious pizza while you enjoy a few refreshing ales. And guess what? Your furry friends are welcome too! Bring your pup along and make it a fun-filled day for everyone!
PLAYING BAREFOOT BOWLS:
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU HIT THE GREENS!
- 90 minutes on the greens (bare feet, thongs or sandals).
- All non-members must sign in on arrival or join as a social member for $5/year.
- No glass on the greens.
- Bowls must be bowled along the ground not thrown from any height.
- Smoking on the premises is not allowed.

LAWN BOWLS

Become part of the local community and join the Harbord Bowling Club.
Traditional bowls offers a low-impact game that is big on social interaction and mateship. It is a wonderfully inclusive sport that can be adapted to suit different physical abilities, making it accessible for all.
Joining Harbord Bowling Club means becoming a part of our community. We pride ourselves on fostering friendships that last a lifetime and enjoying a strategic game that keeps us both physically active and mentally stimulated.
Our members range from beginners all the way up to state qualifying players. New recruits are always welcome, we even provide free coaching and encouragement, so you get the most from this wonderful game.
Social membership is a low $5 per year. Men’s Bowls membership is $150 per year and Women’s is $170 – this includes participation in competitions.
We currently have 130 men bowling members, with 7 sides in the men’s pennant competition. The ladies have 60 members and 3 sides in the pennant competition. Many of our bowlers are selected to represent the District, Zone and State sides within NSW.
